How do I decide between abortion by pill or surgical abortion?
- First, abortion by pill must be done very early in the pregnancy. The procedure is a bit more involved than the surgical procedure requiring an additional visit to the clinic. The pill can only be used up to 8 weeks. The choice is yours. Both procedures are safe and the pill is 98 percent effective. Should you choose the pill and in the unlikely event it is not successful, the surgical procedure will be done at our clinic at no additional charge.

How long will the procedure take?
- The actual surgical procedure only takes 3-5 minutes. You should expect to be at the clinic around 4 hours total.

What is the surgical abortion procedure?
- We use a dilation/aspiration (suction) method. The cervical muscle controlling the opening of the uterus is gently dilated to a very small diameter about the size of the tip of a ballpoint pen. Suction is then used to remove the pregnancy. For pregnancies further along, more dilation is required and the use of sterile instruments may be used in addition to the suction.

What is your VIP-Private Service?
- At times we have patients who desire an exclusively private procedure. We have private waiting rooms and private recovery rooms where your partner or family member may stay with you before and after your procedure. This allows your procedure to be completely confidential and apart from other patients. There is an additional charge for this service. Just ask when you call and our staff will provide the details.
